Understand what data we collect, why we collect it and how we use it. Take some time for a careful reading.

1. Introduction

Whenever you communicate with our Company or use any of our products and services, you disclose personal information (personal data) to us.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you (as a natural person) about what Personal Data (PPD) we collect, why we collect it, what is the legal framework that allows its processing and how you can exercise your rights, i. e. to request information, its deletion, its possible updating, etc.

It also shows our compliance with the legislation and in particular with Regulation EU 679/2016, on the Protection of Personal Data (PPD), and our respect for the privacy and security of PPD.

It applies to PPD that you provide to us as well as to PPD that we collect in the course of our activities and as a Data Controller.

This Privacy Policy was posted on our website on 28. 06. 2019 and supersedes any previous version. It is addressed to any natural person who has or intends to have any kind of relationship with us.

2. Who we are

B-logica is active in the development of specialized computer products for the organization of Legal Services of Banks, large companies and organizations, in the development of legal software for Notaries and Lawyers and in the production of software in the field of Real Estate Tax Management e. g. calculation of Real Estate Values.

B-logica’s client list amounts to over 4,000 different clients of all sizes: including almost all banks, public institutions, public utilities, leasing companies, large auditing companies and law firms, numerous accountants, lawyers and civil engineers and over 2,500 notaries (>85% of the total number of the country).

The major projects he has undertaken include:

  • Installation and expansion with specialized requirements in a Legal Service of a Banking Institution in Greece with the eΠανδέκτης system with over 1,500 users.
  • Participation in the project of the Ministry of Finance EN. F. I. A. by making available the Property Values database and the accompanying digitized maps.

After 27 years, having a well-trained scientific staff with many years of experience in the analysis, design and implementation of specialized software solutions, deep knowledge of the subject matter in the fields in which it operates and the appropriate infrastructure, it is able to undertake any size of IT project.

The company was founded in 1993 and is based in privately owned facilities in Athens.

3. What Personal Data we are working on

Personal Data (PD) is any information through which your identity as a specific natural person can be verified, directly or indirectly.

We are required to process (i. e. : collect, manage, store, store, delete) PD in the course of our business operations and often in the context of our compliance with laws and regulations.

You (as an individual) are not obliged to provide us with the PD we may request, but, in the event of your refusal, we may not be able to provide you with products or services or respond to your requests consistently, promptly and with quality.

When you communicate with us, visit our website, do business with us, or ask us questions, we may ask you for relevant personal information (i. e. PD such as: name, address, email, phone number, IBAN, etc. ) depending on the nature of the relationship between us.

You may also choose to voluntarily provide us with additional PD (such as in the case of sending a CV) or additional information (such as tax or commercial information, in the context of informing you or exploring cooperation).

4. How we collect the PD we process

The information we collect may be:

  • Information we receive from the use of your products and services (e. g. sending a warranty card) or the services of our partners (e. g. service data).
  • We use various types of technologies to collect and store information, including the use of cookies (see §11).
  • Our website collects information (such as IP address, search engine, etc. ) that is used for activities such as calculating the number of visitors to our website, identifying visitors’ points of interest, communication effectiveness, etc.
  • You have requested some information or information.
  • You wanted to attend or attended one of our events.
  • You have subscribed to our e-newsletter.
  • You have expressed an interest in recruiting or working with us as a representative of the organization where you work.

When you contact us, we keep a record of our communication messages so that we can resolve any problems you may have. We do not allow unauthorized entities, especially without your consent, to access your information.

In some cases, our customers or partners provide us with access to the data of their customers, suppliers or third parties (who may be natural persons) in the context of our cooperation. In these cases, our Company acts as the “Processor” of personal data. Consequently, in these cases different provisions of the GDPR 679/2016 apply and we comply with them.

5. How we use PD

The information we collect may be:

6. How long we keep your personal data

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary, depending on the purpose of the processing and this privacy policy.

If the legal basis of the processing is the implementation of an order/contract or to take measures at your request before the conclusion of a contract, then we will retain your data for as long as you maintain a contractual relationship with us or we will keep it for as long as necessary until the statute of limitations for relevant legal claims has expired (10 years from the expiry of the contract).

6. 1 For example, we may need to use your PD to respond to your complaints or queries about a product or service and therefore we may retain personal data while you are still using our product or services (e. g. warranty period). We may also need to retain your personal data for accounting purposes (legislation related to tax authorities or financial research units), or for technical support purposes. If we no longer need PD or ten (10) years have passed since we ceased any cooperation, we will anonymize them by encrypting them. In addition, the PD data on tax documents are kept in storage for tax liability purposes.

6. 2 If we have asked for your permission (consent) to process your personal data and we have no other legitimate grounds to do so, see. 6. 1 to continue this processing, and you withdraw your consent, we will delete your personal data.

However, when you unsubscribe (e. g. from marketing communications or the newsletter), we will retain your email address to ensure that we do not send you any forms in the future.

7. Who we share your PD with

We do not disclose or share PD with other companies, organizations and individuals for the purpose of direct or indirect advertising and communication.
We disclose or share PDs with third parties in the following circumstances:

  • With your consent: we share PD with companies, organizations and individuals when we have your explicit consent.
  • For external processing: We provide PD to our external partners and to companies or individuals we trust to process them for our own use (e. g. accounting or IT support) and in accordance with our Privacy Policy and appropriate confidentiality and security measures, as required by Regulation EU 679/2016.
  • For lawful purposes: we share PD with relevant public authorities when reasonably necessary and for the purpose of complying with laws, regulations, etc.
  • In the context of scientific research: we may provide anonymized PDs in the context of scientific or statistical studies.

8. Your rights

Our customers, users of our services and visitors to our website have the following rights (which should not be contrary to the relevant legislation) under the Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data.

Your rights, in relation to PD, are:

  • Right to information: you have the right to receive clear and understandable information about how your personal data is used and your rights. This Privacy Policy provides you with relevant information.
  • Right of access & rectification: you have the right to access, rectify or update your personal data at any time through a company representative
  • Right to portability: you can receive the PD you have provided to us, in a structured, readable and interoperable format, and transfer them to another organization. This right is granted to you when your personal data has been provided on the basis of your consent or in the context of the performance of a contract.
  • Right to erasure PD: You have the right to request that we delete your personal information in certain circumstances. The exercise of your right can always be subject to the conditions of the relevant legislation (e. g. you cannot request the deletion of PDs when labor law or tax authorities require them to be retained for a certain period of time).
  • Right to restrict the processing of PD: You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of PD in certain circumstances, including processing for direct marketing.
  • Right to complain to the Independent Authority for the Protection of Personal Data http://www.dpa.gr/ or any national Data Protection Authority about how we process your personal data.
  • Right to withdraw your consent: if you have given your consent to the processing of PD, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time (if you do so, it does not mean that it is unlawful for us to do what we did with your valid consent up to the date of withdrawal). You can withdraw your consent to the processing of PD at any time by contacting us at the details listed in §13 “Contact us”. In any case, your data will only be deleted if the legal reasons for retaining the PD in paragraph 6.1 do not apply On how to exercise your rights, see §10.

9. Our Obligations

Among our obligations is the principle of accountability, with regard to the principles governing the processing of PD (legitimacy, objectivity and transparency, purpose limitation, minimization of PD, accuracy of PD, storage period limitation, security, integrity, and confidentiality).

We process PD only if one of the following legal requirements (legal basis) applies. We determine the legal basis for processing your personal data depending on the purpose for which we have collected and used your personal data. In any case, the legal basis may be:

  • CONSENT: the data subject (you) has consented to the processing of PD (e. g. you have given your consent for us to send you newsletters). You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your PD at any time by contacting us at the details listed in §13 “Contact us”.
  • CONTRACT IMPLEMENTATION: where the processing of PD is necessary for the implementation of a contract to which the natural person (you) is a party or to take steps at the request of the natural person prior to entering into a contract.
  • LEGISLATION COMPLIANCE: where processing is necessary for us to comply with legal requirements (e. g. labor or tax legislation).
  • OUR INTENDED INTERESTS: processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller (us) unless the interest or fundamental rights and freedoms of the natural person (you) prevail. When it is necessary to understand our customer, promote our products/services and operate our websites and applications effectively. For example, we will rely on our legitimate interest when analyzing the content viewed on our websites and apps to understand how they are used. It is also in our legitimate interest to conduct marketing analyses to determine which products and services may be relevant to the interests of our customers and potential customers.

In addition, we implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the individual (you), the company (us) and our partners from unauthorized access or alteration, tampering or destruction of the PD in our possession. Specifically:

  • We encrypt many of our services.
  • We control data collection, storage and processing practices, including physical security measures, to protect against unauthorized access to systems and processes.
  • Access to the PD is limited and controlled, and those with access are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Where external partners (for maintenance or support purposes) have potential access to PD, relevant annexes to existing cooperation agreements cover the requirements of the Regulation.

Throughout the entire PD processing cycle (from collection to destruction of PD) we take appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of PD. We require similar measures from third parties that handle or process PD.

Our services, products and website are not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly process PDs of children under the age of 16.

10. Access to your own information

As part of your rights under the Data Protection Regulation, you can request the updating, correction or restriction of processing or deletion of your own PD (see your rights in Section 8).

You can exercise your rights by contacting us at the contact details listed in the “Contact Us” section (section 13) by requesting a Subject Access Request (SAR) form, completing it and sending it to us. We are obliged to reply to you within one month of receiving your request.

NOTE: An essential measure for the security and protection of your personal data is the password we give you when you become a member of www.blogica.gr. In order to present any of your personal data, you must first provide your user name (e-mail) and password. For this reason, this information is strictly personal and must be protected and not be passed on to third parties.

11. Information about cookies

We use cookies to improve the speed and quality of service whenever you visit our website.

A cookie is information, in the form of a file, that is stored on your computer and improves the performance of the website for your convenience. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to us, the site owners.

Transmitting information over the internet is not completely safe. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data in the context of our cooperation, we cannot guarantee the security of the PD at the stage of their transmission, and therefore you provide them at your own risk.

Where we provide links to other organizations’ websites, this Privacy Policy does not cover how the other organization processes personal data. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of the other website you are visiting. Under no circumstances is blogica. gr responsible for the Privacy Policy of these websites.

The data we process is stored on servers located on our premises or on servers (cloud servers) located in the European Union. We ensure that, on the one hand, appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken and, on the other hand, relevant cooperation contracts are concluded, in accordance with the relevant regulations.
